About 

Mr Skaria Alexander is a Consultant Plastic, Burns and Reconstructive Surgeon with extensive experience in acute and elective plastic surgical care, including complex trauma, soft-tissue reconstruction, and burn injury management.​

He provides expert opinion in medico-legal cases involving soft-tissue injury, scarring, wound management, burns, and surgical negligence.

Mr Alexander’s NHS consultant practice includes emergency and reconstructive plastic-surgical services for adults and children, working closely with multidisciplinary trauma and orthopaedic teams. He is actively involved in teaching, audit, and clinical governance.

Clinical, Research and Medico-Legal Expertise

Mr Alexander’s clinical work covers the full spectrum of reconstructive and burn surgery, including:

His research and audit interests include burn outcomes, infection control, trauma reconstruction pathways, and multidisciplinary team coordination.​

Expert Witness & Report Preparation Experience

Mr Alexander has acted as an expert witness since 2018 and produces over 60 medico-legal reports annually, including screening, breach of duty, causation, condition and prognosis, and negligence reports. He is instructed by both Claimant and Defendant Solicitors (ratio 80/20) and has experience in child-protection matters, police reports, coroners’ inquests and GMC proceedings. His reports are CPR Part 35 compliant and delivered within practical turnaround times.

Mr Alexander has undertaken formal Bond Solon training in Excellence in Report Writing and Courtroom Skills.

Turn Around Times

Mr Alexander aims to provide reports promptly and efficiently. Typical turnaround times are: 10–14 working days for standard cases • 14–28 working days for complex cases • 5–10 working days for urgent cases.

Payment Terms

Our standard payment terms are 90 days from the date of invoice. However, we understand the funding structures within medico-legal work and are able to agree extended payment arrangements, where appropriate, subject to written agreement at the point of instruction and internal compliance checks. Extended arrangements may be agreed for up to 36 months depending on the nature of the matter and the instructing firm.
